[Haul] New In December

It's only the start of December and i'm already splurging on makeup. I headed out into the CBD with intentions of purchasing the Anastasia Brow Pomade and a new concealer, but by the end of the day i came back home with neither of the 2 products i needed.

Sephora recently opened in my city, which was super exciting, due to work i did not go to the launch but, actually glad i didn't since it was quite packed on the day.

Having been to Sephora for the first time, it was quite overwhelming, the store was huge, packed with customers and bubbly sales people who were happy to help. They carried many brands that were not yet instore in Melbourne, Australia. Brands such as Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Makeup Forever and many more. The store consisted of a few sections such as the usual makeup counters, a fragrance section and also a mens perfume and skincare section. In my opinion the store reminded me a lot of the airport beauty counters which was nice.

The section i loved the most would have been the roller perfumes, for so long i've been on the hunt for bag sized perfumes. For some reason i haven't come across them a lot instore, i was happy to see that they had the roller size in my favourite perfume. From the top of my head, I remember that they had the Marc Jacobs range, Estee Lauder - Modern Muse, Versace - Bright Crystal and many more.

I picked up the Florabotanica - Balenciaga, I really like the roller ball perfumes since it is very versatile and can be carried with you everywhere, without it leaking.

As i went to check out, the line was massive but it went quickly. Sephora strategically places mini sized products that tempt you while waiting for the check out. They got me this time, i also picked up the Becca Glow On The Go set which included a Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal and a Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights also in Opal. The spotlight one is a liquid consistency which is pretty easy to use. I must admit i did get mixed up and thought Opal was Champagne Pop (i don't know how that happened) but overall i'm pretty happy i picked this one up since it had both a pressed powder and a liquid highlighter.

Next stop was Mecca Maxima. I picked up a new bronzer since my Nars Laguna had hit pan many months ago, i did hear that the Too Faced Soleil Bronzer was quite popular so i choose the shade Chocolate. I also wanted to try the Urban Decay Primer Potion so i just got a 5ml size to test out. I'll soon be doing a comparison between the Too Faced, Urban Decay and Clarins Eye Primers so stay in tune for that post.

At the moment Mecca is currently holding an offer where if you spend over $50 you can choose a small sample size of a few products. I choose the Melted Lipstick. Besides from the Melted Lipstick there was a Nars Lip Crayon, Mecca Lip Balm, Urban Decay Setting Spray and few others. The offer started on the 26th November and ends when the stock is gone, so i would be best to head instore as soon as possible.

As part of the limited edition Christmas Collection Bobbi Brown released a few products. One of them being this Bobbi Brown Mini Lip and Eye Palette. The one in the picture is Bellini, which consists of 1 shimmery lipgloss, 3 Matte Shadows and 2 Glitter Shadows. The palette is about the size of my palm so it's super compact and very easy to travel with. In the future i will definitely be bring this compact with me. The palette is perfect for creating a day or night look with the combination of both matte and glitter shadows.
