Hey Everyone, i hope you are all doing well. Today i'll be sharing my thoughts on the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder.
Rimmel claims that this powder
- Lasts up to 5 hours
- Helps minimise the appearance of pores.
The powder is available in four shades
- 001 Transparent
- 002 Silky Beige
- 003 Peach Glow
- 004 Sandstorm
As for personal use, i use the number 002 Silky Beige.
I've been using this powder for around a year, previously i used the Maybelline Dream Matte powder, which was a similar product to the Rimmel Stay Matte. I found that the Rimmel one gave more coverage and was a tad cheaper.
Application:
I love how this powder feels on my face, after applying it on top of my foundation, it provides me with a nice matte finish. The powder stays on my face from the time i leave the house to the time i get home.

The powder is not as finely milled as ones from Chanel and Benefit but the quality is fairly good for the price. I often see that my face looks slightly cakey, so i would recommend using a bit of the powder first then apply another layer if needed.
PROS: CONS:
- Affordable - Limited colour range
- Compact
- Available at most supermarkets and pharmacies (drugstores)
Overall i would recommend anyone who is looking for an affordable face powder that is long lasting with a matte finish. The only downside would probably the shades that are available.
This is definitely my ride or die powder along with my MAC MSF Natural:) Great photography also!

Thank you so much!
DeleteI love this powder and also the Dream Matte one but the latter is discontinued. I use the translucent shade so it doesn't change the base colour. I think I've gone through about 3 or 4 of these!

Oh i didn't even know the Dream Matte was discontinued
DeleteI agree about it not being very finely milled - I find the translucent one can have a bit of a whitening effect :/ it's a good product to reduce shine but in moderation! xx
